Grandparents Day

Today our grandparents came to school. First we did our Elmo Dance. I thought it was fun as it was dancing my favourite song. Then the grandparents told us about when they were at school. Then we made sherbet. First we put in the icing sugar and then we put in the other stuff. Then we tasted it. It was so sourery. Then I took my grandparents around the school with Quentin. Then I took my grandparents to the hall for morning tea.

Swimming Carnival- Splish Splash and Lots of Fun

What a fantastic day the Swimming Carnival was. The weather was perfect- just enough sun to make things comfortable. The students had a great day- a mixture of crazy fun water activities and then on to the serious racing. Luckily we then got to top the day off with our whacky noodle race across the pool.

Mentos and Soda Explosion- well... more like a mini explosion

Today we went outside and attempted to break the record 6 metre tall explosion created by adding Mentos lollies to a bottle of Diet Coke. Sadly our explosion of Coke fell well short of the world record but it was lots of fun. We watched some great clips on youtube which showed some clever inventions using this trick.
